1. Purpose
This Notice describes how Plaitr uses artificial intelligence and machine learning (“AI”) in the platform, what data is used, and the safeguards that apply. It supplements the Plaitr Privacy Policy.
2. Where Plaitr uses AI
Plaitr uses AI to support, among other things:
- Automated reconciliation and categorisation of transactions
- Assistance in onboarding document review
- Fraud- and financial-crime-risk scoring
- In-product search, drafting, and support experiences
- Internal productivity tools used by Plaitr staff
3. Data used
AI features operate on the data described in the Privacy Policy, principally: transaction metadata, uploaded documents (including KYB/KYC materials), account and platform activity, and communications with Plaitr support. Sensitive personal data is handled in accordance with applicable law.
4. Human oversight
Material decisions with legal or significant effect, including onboarding approval, transaction blocks, sanctions dispositions, and suspicious-activity escalations, involve human review. AI is used to support, not replace, qualified compliance and operations staff.
5. No use of customer data to train third-party models
Plaitr does not permit its third-party AI providers to use Plaitr customer data to train their foundation models. Vendor contracts are configured to disable training-on-input where the vendor offers such an option.
6. Vendors and sub-processors
AI functionality may be delivered through vendors and sub-processors. Plaitr maintains an internal register of AI vendors and applies vendor due-diligence, contractual, and security controls consistent with the Privacy Policy and the Plaitr vendor-risk-management program.
7. Your rights
Users have the rights set out in the Privacy Policy, including rights of access, correction, and (where applicable) objection to automated decision-making. To exercise these rights, contact compliance@plaitr.com.
